Dear Church Family,
With several presumptive positive cases of coronavirus in the state of Arkansas, schools and other local organizations are beginning to respond with precautions to mitigate its spread. To that effect, we are are evaluating weekly services and programming day by day.
Sunday morning worship will be broadcast over livestream until it is prudent to once again gather. The livestream is available for viewing at fbcdover.com/livestream. We will continue to follow the Dover Public Schools in regards to Wednesday programming. If school is out, Wednesday ministries will be cancelled. Check back for updates on Sunday services.
Online giving is available at fbcdover.com/give. Please continue to support your church during this time of social distancing so that we all can continue to serve the Dover community. Also, be in prayer for those affected and resist the temptation to give in to fear and misinformation. Do listen to qualified counsel and put into practice preventative measures, such as regular, thorough hand washing. If you exhibit symptoms of illness, please care for yourself and your church family by staying home. In these historic events, keep in mind Paul’s encouragement to the Philippians:
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Let’s rejoice in the Lord and bring our concerns to Him. Keep an eye on the church webpage and social media for more information as the coronavirus situation continues to develop. We love you and plan to see you soon.
